We enjoy collaborating and connecting with writers who can help us fulfill our mission: to provide support, resources, education, and faith-based encouragement to women & couples struggling to conceive, or in the NICU with their fragile babies.
WHO WE ARE:
My Predestined One is a faith-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide support, resources, education, and faith-based encouragement to women and couples who have given birth to premature babies and women and couples who are struggling to conceived due to an infertility diagnosis, while bringing global awareness to these issues. Our vision and goal is that these women and couples are empowered, comforted, and understood leaving no woman or couple feeling alone in their journey.

WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE FOR MPO: Blogging for MPO would be a great way to volunteer a small amount of your time providing education, encouragement, knowledge, and resources to give back and empower a community who, more often than not, feel alone and helpless. Your contribution to our blog could be just what our readers need to help them through their difficult journey.

WHO CAN WRITE FOR MPO: Parents of preemies, individuals with an infertility diagnosis, NICU parents, reproductive endocrinologists & other fertility medical professionals, NICU nurses, NICU medical professionals, prematurity awareness advocates & bloggers, infertility awareness advocates & bloggers.
3. WHAT MAKES A GREAT POST FOR MPO:

Write for NICU/preemie parents & struggling to conceive couples: Address their needs, desires, fears, challenges, questions, and pain.

Make very clear the point of your post in your introduction. What main points are you going to discuss in your post?

Don’t just tell what to do, but tell HOW.

BE A JOURNALIST: tell your story using who, what, when, where, how, and why. Be concrete and give examples as well.

Keep it engaging, informative, encouraging, and empowering. We don’t have a word count limit, but ensure that it’s impactful and enriching for the reader.

Explain any fertility and premature birth related acronyms and their meanings when being used

Avoid self-promotion: avoid promoting your blog, services, products, or company in your post. This can be done in your bio.

Write as if you’re speaking with a friend: use a friendly tone and voice and be yourself-Remain compassionate, informative, empathetic, and sympathetic.

Refrain from being judgmental, using vulgar language

5. HOW DO I SUBMIT MY POST TO MPO?
please submit your full draft in a Word doc format and the information below to contact@mypredestinedone.org:

Your bio: the bio should be 100 words and you should include your most used social media handle, and any other relevant links you wish to share: your blog, Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, website URL, etc.

Your headshot: submit a professional headshot to contact@mypredestinedone.org

Cover images, supporting images and other high resolution photos, videos, etc:

Images (PNG, JPG): Provide any high resolution images you would like to include within your Word doc. When saving your images, please provide a descriptive name (e.g. defining premature birth-image1)

Infographics, videos, and interactive content: Include the embed code for the infographic within your Word doc.
6. THE EDITORIAL PROCESS AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
We want to ensure that we provide great content and posts to the blog. With that said, we work hard to evaluate every submission to ensure that it provides quality and value; we want to ensure that the content is both clear and accurate.It’s our desire that every published post shines, educates, empowers, and encourages, while also getting the exposure that it deserves. As we get submissions, please be patient with us.
You will receive a confirmation email within 1-2 business days stating that we’ve received your submission. Your submission will then go through our editorial process where we review each post. The average turnaround time for review is 2-3 weeks; however, depending on the current submissions in review it could take shorter or longer. If we accept your post, we will contact you to let your know.If not, we will let you know that as well.
7. HOW WILL MPO PROMOTE YOUR POST?
MPO will email posts to our subscribers. We will promote your post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other appropriate social media platforms. You can also help us help you, so that your valuable content gets the exposure it deserves by using your personal social media platforms to share, such as twitter (mention @My_Predestined1), Instagram, Facebook, pin on Pinterest, etc. Using your social medial platform can help create more dialogue around your post, as well as provide knowledge and awareness about infertility and premature birth to others outside of our reach.
